L.i F. E. and Kidz was established in honor of
Deputy Matt Williams & K-9 DiOGi.
In November 2006, two members of the Polk County Sheriff's Motor Unit acted on the idea of a Motorcycle Poker Run to raise funds for Matt Williams’ family. They enlisted the help of close family and friends and planned the event. An overwhelming turn out (sources say approximately 3,500-5,000 motorcycles) attended.
This event led to several requests to make this a yearly event. Taking these suggestions seriously, the small group of people who put on the Matt Williams & K9 DiOGi Poker Run formed a Not For Profit group, named "L. i F. E. and kidz".
A percentage of the proceeds will be put aside for any future Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter, or E.M.S. worker killed in the line of duty. Another percentage will go to a Youth Charity of choice.
 This year, we have chosen Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch
